Startklar explains published rules and puts them in order. It does not advise you, and it does not decide anything about your case. This page says exactly what that means.
What Startklar does
It asks a short series of questions, applies rules that are published in German statutes and by German authorities, and returns an ordered checklist. Every figure it states — a threshold, a fee, a day limit — names the statute or official page it comes from and the date that source was last read. You can check every one of them yourself.
What Startklar is not
It is not legal advice (Rechtsberatung) and not tax advice (Steuerberatung). Using it does not create an advisory relationship, a mandate, or a contract for advice of any kind. Startklar is not a Rechtsanwalt, Steuerberater or Rentenberater and holds no registration under the Rechtsdienstleistungsgesetz.
It does not assess your case
Startklar applies general rules to the answers you type. It does not read your permit, your Zusatzblatt, your contracts or your correspondence, and it cannot weigh the particular facts of your situation. Wherever an answer would depend on the exact wording of your own documents, it stops and names a person to ask instead of guessing. That stop is the product working correctly, not failing.
Accuracy and currency
German thresholds, fees and procedures change — several move every 1 January. Each figure carries the date its source was last checked, and those dates are re-checked on a schedule, but a rule can change the day after a check. Nothing here is warranted to be current, complete, or applicable to you. Confirm anything you are about to act on.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for decisions taken, costs incurred, or deadlines missed on the basis of information from Startklar. Liability for injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, is not excluded and cannot be.

Who to ask for real advice
For residence questions: Migrationsberatung für erwachsene Zuwanderer (free), the Berlin Willkommenszentrum (free), or a Fachanwalt für Migrationsrecht. For tax and business form: a Steuerberater. Startklar names the right one for your situation at the point where it stops.
Not an official body
Startklar is an independent private project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Ausländerbehörde, the Finanzamt, the Gewerbeamt, the IHK, or any other German authority.
